About BCAF

Introduction

The British Community Assistance Foundation (also known as BCAF) is a not for profit organisation which was established pursuant to a Declaration of Trust made on June 15th 1986. Its purpose is the relief of poverty, suffering and distress of persons who (i) are in need; (ii) are British citizens as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981; and (iii) reside in the Emirate of Dubai or any of the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, as well as their dependents.

Pursuant to licensing by CDA, BCAF became a not for profit foundation on 20 January 2022.

The affairs of BCAF are administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of a Chairman; Deputy Chairman and Treasurer and such other positions as the Board may determine from time to time.

The financial year of BCAF runs from 1 January to the following 31 December and the BCAF’s accounts are audited each year.
